I work for a home builder as a warranty tech. Basically the home builder sends me in after 6 months to fix problems a new home owner might have and then again at one year. While doing this have had the chance to pick up a couple side jobs laying tile. And I was interested in starting my own little part time tile laying company. I was wondering what type of protection I would need to have my own buisness. I was also wondering what ways there is to advertise a new buisness. Obviously I would buy an ad in a phone book and start up a web page. But what type of advertising should i look to? Also is there any sort of funding i might be able to receive to start this up? I’m just looking to do a couple jobs a month. Maybe something I can start on a week night and finish up on a Saturday. I’m not looking to make this my full time career but a part time hobby I could bring in money to do.
